Thermopolis / Big Horn River Fishing Information
Conditions on the Wind River and Big Horn River change with flows, weather, water clarity, and season. Use the links below to check current water flows and road conditions before your trip. Here's a quick run down on our annual hatches:

Looking at the Big Horn, North Platte and Green Rivers there are specific hatches for each time of year.  Midges are a year round event. Blue Wing Olive's (may flies) mainly hatch in the spring and the fall.  Caddis hatch in the late spring through the fall.  There are not many stoneflies on these rivers, but we do see some golden stones and yellow sallies from June to August.  Sow bug and scud patterns work year round. Streamer fishing is best from late spring through fall.  Terrestrial hatches (grasshopper, ant, worms) work late spring through fall.
