Bighorn River Fishing Report

By Kyle Lombardi - March 18, 2020

The Bighorn River is still currently at it's winter flows and fishing well! With the water clarity at it's best many fish are keyed in on the midge hatches happening in the late morning and continuing into the afternoon with BWO's. Spring is here and with that in mind the Rainbows are beginning to move onto their gravel beds or "redds" to do their song and dance. Please be mindful and leave them to do their business uninterrupted and avoid disturbing this crucial part of reproduction in the river. The best practice is to avoid wading and fishing in the water near these redds so as not to crush the eggs or disturb the spawning fish.
